About
Frucci Valentine is an inspiring, passionate woman with a multifaceted background. She is a creative force with many talents, ranging from her past as a modern dancer to her current practice as both a painter and nationally certified psychoanalyst. Dedicated to exploring the intersections of dance, art, and psychoanalysis, she seeks to bridge the concepts of these fields with one another; emphasizing the importance of creativity for maintaining mental health. She has many accomplishments such as being a Gradiva recipient, sitting on the American Board for Accreditation of Psychoanalysis, joining the Koresh Dance Company, training professional ballerinas in NYC, and teaching at Georgian Court University. With a talent for composition in art, Valentine was selected to show her artwork at Denise Bibro Fine Art in New York City and is striving to make an impact in her hometown of Dallas, TX.
The Work
From a young age, Frucci Valentine found solace in creating art - a way to express herself and pursue a life well lived. Yet, after being told she "shouldn't" be an artist, Frucci Valentine began the series "Leave Me With ROYGBIV,” a response to her biggest critic. Now, she uses her art to urge others to follow their dreams no matter what anyone says. With each stroke, she re-inspires herself and hopes to inspire other artists. Frucci Valentine’s philosophy is that one should seek art to support the healing journey. Her mission is to create art that inspires people to keep going, even in the aftermath of pain and suffering.
